Battle between ‘crock’ McCain and 'weird' Giuliani
...Last week’s Gallup poll showed that McCain’s support for the “surge” of 21,500 extra troops in Iraq was not hurting his chances with Republican voters.
Only 8% said it made them less likely to support him, while 21% said they approved of his decision. But it has hurt McCain with independent voters, who are moving into the antiwar camp.... (UK Sunday Times)
Giuliani has sounded more and more hawkish, and I can't help but think that this is an effort to distance himself from his moderate social positions. If so - if he ends up putting more soldiers in harms way because he's affraid of what people think of him - that's shameful. He won't get the Republican nod.
