NYC CHARTER REVISION

• To Party or Not to Party? (Gotham Gazette/Wonkster) Last night, Harry Kresky, an election lawyer who has served as counsel to the New York Independence Party, led the charge for nonpartisan elections. In his testimony, he noted that more than 750,000 registered voters in New York not affiliated with any party are shut out of primaries altogether, and 1.3 million cannot vote in the Democratic Party, which very often is the real election in this city.
