I don’t see anyone in this room who represents the independent voter. We do have a lot of political swing.”
In fact, independent voters are the deciding group in a great many Idaho elections. It’s baffling that Republicans want to exclude them from voting, since independents nearly always break toward Republicans and ensure their elections. ...

I disagree with Mr. Campbell's assessment that independents should be allowed to vote for either a Republican or Democrat during the primary. By allowing non-party members to cross party lines only continues to isolate a majority block of "independent" voters. The faceless voters who time and again determine an election but remains without a voice in government. Now is the time for Independents to start organizing so they can field their own candidates in 2010.
