The first presidential debate of the 2008 season is being held in South Carolina among the Democratic Party candidates. It's being broadcast on MSNBC nationally. Independents in SC, and 30 other states, can vote in major party primaries or caucues. Let’s see if any of the candidates are speaking to independent Americans.
