Obama, Sharpton, class and race

Obama stands in mainstream, as Biden trips, by Cynthia Tucker (Atlanta Journal Constitution) ...Biden's remarks illuminate something too long hidden — the tripwires and flash points around issues of race and class. Forget "clean." Never mind "nice-looking." The most intriguing word the Delaware senator used in describing Obama was "mainstream."
Biden has already called Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, presumably to assure them he didn't think they failed to take regular showers or had an uneasy relationship with the English language. ....
