Watching the Clinton centrist Left grasp at straws

Thanks to SeattleForBarackObama for "Why the Left Doesn’t Appreciate Obama": "As the Iowa caucuses approached, progressive attacks on Barack Obama greatly increased. Bloggers on the popular Daily Kos were almost beside themselves condemning Obama’s alleged wrongs, with even Kos founder Markos Moulitisas expressing disgust with Obama’s alleged “right wing” appeals for votes......"

Jeralyn Merritt complains (I think) in her column on TalkLeft (which is sort of an interesting liberal blog about the criminal justice system and various legal issues) that independent voters are skewing the results so far. She says: "My take: The independemt voters are driving these results. Among registered Democrats, Obama leads 37% to 34%. If you combine that with Hillary's experience lead, in other parts of the counytry with fewer Independents, she'd be very much in the running. New Hampshire voters, like Iowans, are not representative of the nation. Neither are South Carolinans. Super Duper Tuesday will count more. I don't think New York or California or Florida voters will give a whit what happened in those three states...." Well, we'll see how many "independent Democrats" there are in New York, California and Florida! I suspect there are quite a few!!

Chris Bowers has a rather quirky desire to see Clinton stay in the race beyond the first 4 states and thinks she'll rack up the delegates and superdelegates.... This from OpenLeft: "In a development that has flown under the radar, it now seems to me that, as long as Clinton wins Florida and California, she will be ahead in delegates after February 5th no matter what happens in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada...."

The only trouble here is that something already DID happen. It's a new day. Voters are speaking. Much of the traditional liberal left are coalescing with independents to bring about real change in America. It's an increasingly important coalition.
