Florida: "the key is mobilizing those voters and wooing independents"

...And the voters are out there. The Florida Division of Elections report dated January 2006 showed registered Democrats still outnumbered Republicans in Florida, by 4.2 million to 3.9 million. In Marion County, registered Republicans outnumber Democrats 84,194 to 75,918, but there are also almost 24,000 independent voters who could swing the tide for either party.
Marion County Democratic Executive Committee chairman Marjorie Renfroe said the key is mobilizing those voters and wooing independents....
