Arizona Supreme Court Reinstates Independent Redistricting Commissioner

ARIZONA REDISTRICTING
In win for Democrats, Arizona redistricting commissioner reinstated (By Cameron Joseph, The Hill) The state supreme court's decision that Brewer did not meet the constitutional requirements for removing a commissioner will reinforce the views held by some in the state that Republicans crossed the line on this issue.

This incident will reinforce views held by some. Good grief. One wonders what it might take to get, say, 90% of the public to see basically the same thing.

I imagine that relatively few Arizona republicans will see anything wrong in what gov. Brewer tried to do. Similarly, most democrats would find fault with Brewer. Why might that split in perceptions of reality exist?

I don't recall who it was, but someone once said: "Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party, generally . . . "

Who was that? Why did they say that? Because party allegiance blinds the believers to reality?

Calmoderate, well put! But I wouldn't underestimate the Arizona electorate. Polls are showing disagreement. And if you're offering a prize -- that would be Geo. Washington!!
