California Leaving Redistricting in the Hands of an Independent Commission

Legislative districts will undergo big changes as politicians redraw maps according to the 2010 Census data. California however, will leave it in the hands of independent commissions.

However, for the first time in state history, redistricting will be in the hands of an independent commission that is supposed to ignore partisan or personal political impacts.
