SOUTH CAROLINA'S UNCERTAIN PRIMARY

The South Carolina GOP has historically had a large pool of white house hopefuls every four years; however this year they've been all but ignored by Republicans.

  • SC GOP primary filled with uncertainty (By JIM DAVENPORT, Associated Press, Valley News Live) Advocates of conservative-liberal coalition is fighting in court against GOP efforts to limit the state's primary vote for Republicans, which now excludes independents can vote in open primaries. Exit polls from the mid-session in November showed that 65 percent of the donor area is considered Republicans, while 26 percent called themselves independents.
