Strayhorn, Friedman Face Signature Deadline
Stephanie Lucero(CBS 11 News) In order to be on the ballot in the November race for Texas governor, an independent candidate is required to get the signatures of 45,540 registered voters.The last time an independent candidate successfully ran for governor of Texas was in 1859, when Sam Houston made history.Two candidates are currently striving for this goal, Kinky Friedman and Carol Keeton Strayhorn....
